What Is A Dermal Filler?
Dermal fillers are small injections of gel that are used to add volume to soft tissue and fill in wrinkles. The gel is usually made up of hyaluronic acid or collagen.
What Is The Difference Between Botox And Dermal Fillers?
At face value, Dermal Fillers and Botox seem like very similar treatments, however they are in fact quite different. Dermal fillers fill problem areas with gel to replace collagen loss and to lift the skin in the face, whereas Botox reduces the activity of muscles in the face which subsequently cause wrinkles.
What Can Dermal Fillers Be Used For?
After completing your Dermal Filler Course, it's important the you're able to inform your customers exactly what it is used for so that they can make an informed choice, and so that they are aware of the benefits of this innovative treatment. Dermal fillers can be used to:
- Plump thin lips.
- Enhance shallow contours.
- Soften facial creases and wrinkles.
- Improve the appearance of recessed scars.
- Reconstruct contour deformities in the face.
- Decrease the shadow of the lower lids.
